Can air pollution cause asthma?

With the increasing pollution in our cities, I've noticed many people around me developing breathing issues. My neighbor's child was just diagnosed with asthma. Is it possible that the poor air quality can actually cause asthma in individuals?

With the way our city air looks during winters, we're basically breathing soup! Yes, it can definitely trigger or even cause asthma. Time to invest in a good mask and maybe become best friends with an air purifier.

Yes, toxic air is a huge trigger for respiratory issues and can lead to asthma. Just like I have to monitor my BP, people living in highly polluted zones should get regular lung function tests and modify their outdoor timings.

Haan na, pollution toh bohot hi kharab ho gaya hai aaj kal. It makes breathing so difficult and can actually cause asthma in young children too. We should use masks when going out in heavy traffic, ho na?

Yes, bad air ruins our lungs. I find that doing steam inhalation with a drop of eucalyptus oil and drinking warm ginger tea helps soothe my throat after traveling through dusty roads, but do see a doctor if you feel wheezy.

Hey, don't stress too much, but yes, the pollution in our cities is a major reason why so many people are getting asthma nowadays. Try keeping some indoor plants and wear a decent N95 mask when you are out.

In our younger days, the air was clean and asthma was rare, but today's pollution is indeed causing this lung weakness in many. Take warm tulsi-honey water in the morning to strengthen your throat, and avoid going out during peak smog hours.

Yes, it can. If you start showing symptoms like constant coughing, don't ignore it because delay will lead to expensive emergency room visits later. Get a basic spirometry test done at an affordable government lab early on.
