Can aerophagia cause vomiting?

Lately, I've been feeling quite bloated and sometimes get this urge to burp a lot after eating. My friend told me it might be due to swallowing too much air, which sounds weird. I'm wondering if this 'swallowing air' thing can also make someone feel like vomiting?

Yes, swallowing too much air can build up a lot of pressure in your stomach, which can sometimes lead to nausea or throwing up. Don't worry too much, just try to eat slowly and avoid talking while chewing. If it keeps happening, we can show a doctor.

While swallowing air can cause severe bloating and burping, actual vomiting shouldn't be ignored as just 'aerophagia'. Don't rely on random explanations online. Get a proper checkup from a gastroenterologist to rule out acid reflux or infections.

Haan na, stomach mein itni hava bhar jati hai toh thoda ulti jaisa lagta hi hai. Actually because of bloating, the stomach feels very full and uncomfortable. Eat food slowly and drink water comfortably, ho na?

Yes, swallowing excess air creates an imbalance in the digestive tract, which can trigger a reflux or vomiting sensation. Practicing gentle pranayama and sitting in Vajrasana for ten minutes after meals can help release the trapped gas naturally.

The body has its own way of reacting when air is trapped in the stomach, sometimes causing discomfort and vomiting. Try to eat with a calm mind, without any hurry or stress. Take care, and may you find relief soon.
