Can adderall cause kidney problems?

My friend who takes Adderall recently developed some kidney issues. This got me worried. Is it possible for Adderall to cause kidney problems in people who take it regularly?

My elders always tell me that heavy modern English medicines can heat up the body and affect the kidneys. However, my doctor explained that if taken exactly as prescribed and with plenty of fluids, Adderall is generally safe. Trust your doctor but do drink enough water.

I completely panicked when I had dark urine and back pain last year while on Adderall, thinking my kidneys were failing! It turned out I was just severely dehydrated because the medicine suppresses thirst. Once I started drinking 3 liters of water daily, everything went back to normal.

Please do not ignore any unusual changes like foam in your urine or swelling in your feet. I once ignored minor symptoms thinking it was just fatigue, and it became a major issue later. Get a quick kidney function test (KFT) done to be absolutely sure.

Haan, kidney pe thoda stress padta hai agar aap bohot kam paani peete ho tab. Adderall body ko dry karta hai na, toh hamesha paani ki bottle paas rakha karo. Agar zyada dar lag raha hai toh ek baar creatinine test karva lo.

No need to worry too much! Just make water your best friend and keep a track of your doses. If you are taking it under a doctor's guidance, you are totally safe. Stay happy and hydrated!

You can drink barley water (jau ka paani) or coconut water to help keep your kidneys cool and flushed out. But if you have severe back pain, fever, or difficulty passing urine, please don't rely on home remedies. Go see a doctor immediately.

Kidney issues can occasionally happen if there is rhabdomyolysis from extreme overexertion while on stimulants. I always make sure to keep my workouts moderate, walk daily, and check with my doctor before doing heavy lifting on medication days.
