Can acid reflux cause vomiting and nausea?

I've been struggling with constant nausea, and sometimes it leads to vomiting. I also often feel a burning sensation in my chest, which my family says is acid reflux. Can acid reflux cause both vomiting and nausea together?

Oh, I totally get it, that constant nauseous feeling is honestly the absolute worst. It makes you dread eating anything at all. Please don't suffer through this silently, talk to a doctor who can give you something to soothe your stomach lining.

Yes, absolutely. I log my meals and symptoms on my fitness app, and there is a direct correlation between high fat intake, acid spikes, and my morning nausea levels. Tracking it helped me realize dinner timing is key, but you should definitely consult a professional to get it sorted.

My doctor told me that when acid rises into the esophagus, it triggers a protective reflex that can feel like intense nausea, sometimes leading to actual vomiting. He explained that chronic reflux needs proper management, otherwise it keeps irritating the throat. Please get an expert opinion on this.

Yes, it definitely can. I had the same issue due to constant stress and late-night ordering. Skip the home remedies for now and book a proper consultation with a gastroenterologist to get a prescription.

Look, people here will tell you to drink ginger water or jeera water, but constant nausea and vomiting shouldn't be self-treated. Internet tips can only do so much. Go to a clinic and let a qualified doctor diagnose why your reflux is this severe.

Ah, the joys of crossing 50! Now even looking at a plate of pakoras gives me acid reflux and makes me feel like throwing up. It's quite common, but please do check with a doctor to make sure your digestive system is functioning fine.

I tried everything from cold milk to ginger tea, but when the nausea and vomiting became a daily affair, I realized home remedies have their limit. They can give temporary relief, but you really need a doctor's advice to treat the root cause of severe reflux.

I just went through this exact phase last fortnight. The nausea was so persistent I could barely work, and I threw up multiple times. My doctor adjusted my antacid dosage and it made a world of difference within three days. Please get yourself checked.

It actually does, yaar. Last month my acidity was so bad that just the smell of food was causing crazy nausea, and I threw up twice. It’s better to check with a doc than to keep suffering like this.

Hey! Yes, acid reflux always makes me feel super nauseous, especially right after I wake up. I usually sip on some cold water and avoid heavy breakfasts. But if you are actually vomiting often, please do show a doctor soon, okay?

I panicked so much when I first started vomiting from acid reflux, thinking it was some major stomach bug or ulcer. Turns out it is actually quite a common symptom when the acid levels are very high. A short course of doctor-prescribed medicine sorted it out completely.

Drinking warm water with a bit of fennel seeds can help calm mild nausea. But if you are actually vomiting frequently from the acidity, home tips won't be enough. You must consult a doctor to get the right treatment.
