Can acid reflux cause projectile vomiting?

After some really heavy or spicy meals, my acid reflux gets so intense that I sometimes vomit very forcefully. My friend said it's like 'projectile vomiting'. Is this a normal part of severe acid reflux, or something more concerning?

I was actually researching this online because projectile vomiting sounds so extreme. From what I read, normal acid reflux shouldn't cause forceful, projectile throwing up unless there is a severe blockage in the stomach or pyloric stenosis. It seems like something that definitely needs a doctor's look.

Forceful vomiting indicates a deep disharmony and pressure in the digestive tract. While gentle pranayama and a calm mind can help regulate mild reflux, projectile vomiting is a strong signal from the body that requires immediate medical evaluation. Please do not ignore this symptom.

Haan yaar, normal acidity me thoda vomiting sensation hota hai, but projectile vomiting is totally different and scary, na. It means something else is irritating your stomach very badly. You should honestly go to a clinic and get it checked by a doc right away.

My doctor clearly explained that while GERD can cause regular vomiting or spitting up, projectile vomiting is a forceful expulsion that points to gastric outlet obstruction, severe infection, or neurological triggers. He emphasized that this is a red flag and requires an immediate professional medical consult.

My son had projectile vomiting when he was younger, and it was not just simple acid reflux; it turned out to be a severe stomach infection. It is very painful and dehydrating for anyone. Please make sure they get plenty of fluids and see a pediatrician or doctor immediately.

I am really scared because I have never experienced such forceful vomiting before. Does this happen suddenly with acidity, or is it usually a sign of some food poisoning? Please tell me what steps I should take next to feel safe.

That sounds so exhausting and painful, I can only imagine how weak you must be feeling. Normal reflux might make you feel nauseous, but projectile vomiting is quite severe. Please drink ORS in small sips to keep your strength up, and please have someone take you to a doctor today.

I once ignored severe, forceful vomiting thinking it was just a bad case of acidity, and ended up severely dehydrated with a critical gallstone complication. Please do not make the same mistake I did. Go to a hospital and get a proper checkup done before it gets worse.

Whenever I had bad acid reflux, it was mostly just heartburn and a bit of nausea, never projectile vomiting. My cousin had that forceful vomiting once and it turned out to be acute food poisoning. Based on what I've seen, getting a doctor's advice immediately is the right thing to do.

I love eating out, and simple acidity usually just gives me a sour throat or mild vomiting feeling. But projectile vomiting is definitely not normal reflux from just eating heavy food. It sounds like a major stomach bug, so please stop experimenting with food and see a doctor.

Hey, please don't get too scared, but projectile vomiting is a sign that your stomach is rejecting everything with a lot of pressure. This is beyond normal acid reflux, so please don't try any home remedies right now. Go to a clinic or hospital so they can give you an injection or fluids to stop it.

I know how terrifying and overwhelming it is when your body reacts so violently, it completely triggers panic. While anxiety can worsen stomach upset, projectile vomiting is a physical symptom that really needs a proper medical evaluation. Please try to breathe slowly and visit a clinic for peace of mind.
