Can acid reflux cause chest pain and dizziness?

Lately, I've been getting chest pains along with feeling very dizzy, and it's quite unsettling. I already have severe acidity, so I am trying to figure out if these new symptoms are related. Can acid reflux cause chest pain and dizziness?

Yes, severe acidity can sometimes cause chest pressure and make you feel lightheaded. However, please consult a doctor immediately to rule out any heart issues.

I had these symptoms and was worried about heavy hospital bills. I went to a local government dispensary first where they did a low-cost ECG to rule out heart issues, and it turned out to be just severe reflux. It's better to plan a basic clinic visit early than to wait and pay for emergency care later.

Please do not ignore this. I once brushed off chest pain and dizziness as simple 'gas and tiredness' and ended up in the ICU with a major cardiac issue. Even if it is just acid reflux, getting a doctor to check your heart and blood pressure is absolutely essential right now.

I felt this exact same thing yesterday after a heavy lunch—my chest was burning and my head started spinning, which made me panic so much. Does anyone else get super dizzy when their acidity is high, or should I be rushing to the hospital? I'm so worried.

Yeah bro, during my semester exams I had crazy acidity, chest pain, and actually felt like I was going to faint. My doc said dehydration and severe acid reflux can cause this, but told me to always get chest pain checked. Definitely go see a doctor to be safe.

It can happen due to vagal nerve stimulation from the acid, but please visit a clinic to get an ECG done just to be safe.

While gastroesophageal reflux can occasionally irritate the vagus nerve and cause temporary dizziness along with chest discomfort, these two symptoms combined are classic red flags for cardiovascular or blood pressure issues. A doctor's professional evaluation is absolutely necessary to ensure your safety.
