Can a yeast infection cause abdominal pain and bloating?

I think I have a yeast infection, and along with the itching, I've been having a lot of stomach discomfort and bloating. Can a yeast infection cause abdominal pain and bloating, or should I be looking for another reason?

My grandmother always says to drink buttermilk and coconut water for any stomach warmth or bloating. However, if you are having constant abdominal pain with a yeast infection, it is best to visit a doctor. Sometimes it could be a urinary tract infection or pelvic issue instead.

I was reading up on this because a friend had similar symptoms. Usually, vaginal yeast infections cause local itching and discharge, not deep abdominal pain or bloating. If those symptoms are there, it might be related to gut issues or something else altogether.

Generally, yeast infections stay limited to itching and burning. Severe pain in the lower stomach and bloating is not very typical for a simple yeast infection. I suggest you consult your gynecologist to rule out pelvic inflammatory disease or a UTI.

I always go to a leading hospital in our city for these issues because self-treating can make things worse. Ask your doctor clearly if these symptoms are related to the yeast infection or if you need a pelvic ultrasound. It is better to get a proper clinical checkup.

Please don't worry, but do take care of yourself. If the stomach pain is bothering you along with the infection, it is really safer to get a quick doctor consultation to find the right treatment.

Having curd and avoiding sugar helps a lot with gut and yeast balance ghar pe. But if you have actual abdominal pain, home remedies are not enough. Please see a doctor to ensure there is no deeper infection that needs proper antibiotics.

I panicked so much when I had severe bloating with vaginal irritation, thinking it was a major gut problem. It turned out to be a mix of mild constipation and a regular yeast infection happening together. Don't worry, a simple checkup will help sort it out.
