Can a virus cause vomiting?

I've been vomiting since morning, and I'm feeling quite weak. My mother thinks it's probably just a viral infection. Is it common for a virus to cause vomiting as a main symptom?

Oh, absolutely. Last year a simple stomach bug had me running to the bathroom every ten minutes. It is exhausting, but yes, viruses are the main culprit behind sudden vomiting. Just try to keep yourself hydrated and consult a doctor if it doesn't stop.

Yes, viral gastroenteritis commonly causes vomiting. However, if you are unable to keep even water down for more than 24 hours, or notice any severe abdominal pain, please go to a clinic immediately. Dehydration can happen very fast.

Beta, viral bukhar aur pet ke keede aksar ulti karwa dete hain. Humare zamane me bhi bachon ko jab viral hota tha toh ulti aati thi. Paani ki kami mat hone dena, doctor se dawa lekar aaram karo, sab thik ho jayega.

Yes, stomach viruses can trigger vomiting. To soothe your stomach, avoid solid foods for a few hours. Once you feel slightly better, stick to small sips of warm water, light buttermilk, or a very dilute khichdi. Definitely consult a doctor if the nausea persists.

Yes, viral bugs are a common cause of vomiting. Since I manage PCOS, my body already reacts strongly to stress and nausea, so I always make sure to keep some ORS handy. It is best to check with a doctor to get the right medicine to calm your stomach.

Yes, stomach flu is basically a virus throwing a wild party in your gut, and vomiting is just the cleanup process! Don't worry, it usually clears out in a day or two. Just grab some ORS and call a doc if your stomach continues to rebel.

My son had a viral infection and started vomiting continuously, which led to severe dehydration and we had to put him on IV fluids. Don't wait too long thinking it is just a normal virus. It is always safer to consult a doctor early for anti-vomiting medicine.
