Can a underactive thyroid cause dizziness?

I was recently diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and have been feeling dizzy quite often. I'm wondering if this dizziness is a common symptom of hypothyroidism, ya kuch aur hai?

For mild thyroid support, having coriander seed water in the morning and maintaining a good routine helps a lot, but dizziness is not something to ignore. If you are feeling constant room-spinning or lightheadedness, please see a doctor immediately. It could be due to a sudden drop in blood pressure or incorrect thyroid hormone levels.

Oh god, yes! I have hypothyroidism and lately, whenever I stand up fast, I feel so lightheaded and dizzy. It makes me really anxious thinking if my dosage is wrong or if it's something worse. Has anyone else felt this exact same dizziness with their thyroid, or should I be rushing to the clinic?

Beta, in our times we always focused on eating fresh seasonal fruits, soaked almonds, and keeping our digestion clean to handle thyroid weakness. Dizziness can happen when the body is lacking strength, so make sure you rest properly and don't skip meals. But you must also get your blood tested to see if the doctor needs to change your pill.

Please do not ignore this dizziness like I did a couple of years ago. I kept thinking it was just because of weakness or working late, but it turned out my thyroid levels were completely messed up and it took me months to recover. Go get your TSH, T3, and T4 tested as soon as possible.

An underactive thyroid slows down your metabolic rate, which can definitely cause low energy levels and occasional dizziness during workouts or normal daily tasks. Make sure you are drinking enough water, keeping your electrolytes balanced, and eating clean, but definitely check your TSH levels with a doctor first.

Yes, an underactive thyroid can sometimes cause fatigue and low blood pressure, which leads to feeling dizzy. Please don't worry too much, but do consult your doctor to check your thyroid medication dosage. Take care.

Hypothyroidism can indeed impact your blood circulation, heart rate, and blood pressure, all of which can manifest as dizziness or lightheadedness. However, since dizziness can also stem from anemia or inner ear issues, getting a professional clinical diagnosis is the best approach. Please schedule a consultation with your doctor.

I can't offer any medical advice, but in my own experience, when my thyroid medication dose was too low, I used to feel incredibly fatigued and dizzy quite often. Once my doctor adjusted my daily tablet strength, the dizziness slowly went away. It's really important to monitor your blood levels regularly.

Actually, yes yaar, hypothyroidism can totally make you feel super dizzy and low on energy sometimes. I remember feeling like the whole room was tilting when my thyroid went out of whack last year. Just check with your doc once and get a simple blood test done, simple solution!

I've dealt with this underactive thyroid issue for ten years now, and dizziness is a classic sign that your thyroid levels are fluctuating. Make sure you are taking your thyroid pill strictly on an empty stomach in the morning and waiting at least an hour before tea or coffee. Also, get your vitamin D3 and B12 checked, as deficiency there also causes severe dizziness.
