Can a toothache cause ear pain?

I've had this terrible toothache for a week now, especially in my back molar. Since yesterday, my ear on the same side has also started hurting a lot. Is it possible for the tooth pain to spread to the ear?

Stay positive and take care of yourself, dear. The nerves in our face are all connected, so pain in the teeth can easily feel like it is coming from the ear. Just keep your mind peaceful, drink some warm water, and let a doctor examine it.

My grandmother always tells us to put a warm compress on the cheek, which helps a bit. But honestly, the nerves are completely shared between the jaw and the ear. It's always best to trust a dentist to check if it's a deep cavity or a wisdom tooth issue.

Please don't ignore this. I once had a mild toothache and then my ear started hurting, so I thought it was just a cold. It turned out to be a severe jaw infection that had spread, and I had to get an emergency root canal. Go get it checked immediately.

Yes, they are connected, so a toothache can definitely cause ear pain. Go to a government dental hospital or a local dentist where basic checkups and X-rays only cost 100 to 200 rupees, rather than waiting and paying for expensive treatments later.

Haan, bilkul hota hai! Mere daad me dard tha toh pura kaan bhi dukhne laga tha na. It is called referred pain. Ek baar dentist ko dikha lo, woh check karke medicine de denge toh dono dard gayab ho jayenge.
