Can a stroke kill you?

My neighbour recently had a very severe stroke, and I'm very worried about him. I know strokes are serious, but I want to understand the full extent. Can a stroke actually be fatal, or do people always recover, even if partially?

I was reading about strokes and got very scared. Is a stroke always fatal, or do most people survive if they get to the hospital quickly? I would really appreciate it if someone could explain this gently.

Yes, it can be fatal, and this thought gives me so much anxiety. But please remember, many people do survive and recover. The critical part is recognizing the symptoms early and getting emergency help immediately to avoid the worst.

Man, reading this at 3 AM is not helping my insomnia at all! But seriously, yes, a stroke is extremely dangerous and can be fatal if it's severe or left untreated. That's why doctors keep shouting about acting FAST.

Haan, stroke jaanlewa ho sakta hai agar bada attack ho ya hospital pahunchne mein deri ho jaye. Isliye toh kehte hain ki time waste nahi karna chahiye. Agar koi sign dikhe toh turant emergency mein bhago na.

Yes, a stroke is a leading cause of death globally because it cuts off oxygen to the brain. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a low-fat, vegetarian diet and regular exercise can significantly reduce the risk of arterial blockages that cause strokes.

Well, yes, it certainly can. The brain is the CPU of the body, after all! If a major line gets cut, things can stop working permanently. Best to keep our BP and cholesterol in check so we don't have to face this.
