Can a stroke cause blindness?

My older sister had a stroke a few months ago, and since then, she has been complaining about problems with her vision. She says things are blurry or she can't see certain parts of her visual field. Can a stroke actually lead to blindness or severe vision issues?

Please don't search for random home remedies or trust internet forums for something as serious as vision loss. A stroke in the visual cortex or a clot in the eye's blood vessels can absolutely cause blindness. Go see an ophthalmologist and neurologist immediately.

It is so scary when vision gets affected. Home remedies like rose water or cooling packs will not work if it is a stroke-related issue. The brain pathways are affected, so you must rely on medical treatment and neuro-rehabilitation to see any improvement.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai agar stroke brain ke vision section mein hua ho. Mere door ke rishtedar ko bhi dhundla dikhne laga tha stroke ke baad. Isme bilkul deri mat karo na, jaldi se doctor ko dikhao.

Actually yaar, it can happen. If the blood supply to the optic nerve or the back of the brain gets cut off, it directly impacts the eyes. If someone is experiencing sudden vision changes, rush them to the ER immediately, don't wait.

My health is already a mess, but hearing about stroke-related vision loss makes me extra cautious. Yes, a stroke can cause partial or full blindness depending on where the blood clot was. Definitely not something to ignore while waiting for it to get better on its own.

A stroke can affect the visual center of the brain and lead to blindness or blurry vision. While a clean, low-cholesterol vegetarian diet helps prevent artery blocks in the long run, it cannot cure sudden vision loss. Proper medical intervention is the only way.
