Can a soft mattress cause back pain?

We recently bought a new, very soft mattress, and ever since, my lower back has been hurting almost every morning. My wife thinks it's because the mattress is too soft. Can a soft mattress really be the cause of back pain?

Yes, a very soft mattress can definitely cause back pain because it doesn't support the natural curve of your spine. Don't worry too much, just try sleeping with a thin pillow under your knees for a couple of nights to see if the pain eases. If it keeps hurting, you should look into getting a firmer orthopedic mattress.

Haan bhai, bilkul soft gadda pe sone se kamar dard hota hai. Humare yahan toh log sote hain thoda kadak bister pe, usse reedh ki haddi seedhi rehti hai. Agar gadda jyada naram hai, toh niche ek patla cotton ka chatai bicha kar thoda din so kar dekho, aaram milega.

Oh absolutely! 😮 Soft mattresses look super cozy in hotels, but sleeping on them daily can make your lower back sink and cause a lot of stiffness in the morning. Try shifting to a medium-firm mattress and see how your back feels! 👍

Honestly, I stayed at my cousin's place recently and their super soft mattress absolutely wrecked my lower back in just two days. I couldn't even sit properly during my lectures. Back home on my regular firm bed, the pain literally vanished.

Our bodies need a stable foundation, just like our minds need positive thoughts. A mattress that is too soft makes the spine sag, leading to physical discomfort. Take gentle care of your body, sleep on a firm surface, and keep a positive spirit as you heal.
