Can a silent migraine last for days?

I often get migraines with aura, but sometimes I experience the visual disturbances or numbness without the actual headache. These 'silent migraines' can be quite unsettling. My concern is, can this aura phase without the headache sometimes last for several days at a stretch?

Yes, a silent migraine can absolutely drag on for several days. Even without the typical throbbing headache, symptoms like aura, nausea, and extreme fatigue can persist. Try resting in a dark room and keeping your hydration levels up, but do consult a neurologist.

While silent migraines are known to last for days, any neurological symptom that persists should never be ignored. It is always safest to get it checked by a specialist doctor to rule out other issues. Please schedule an appointment soon.

I totally get it, dealing with a silent migraine is so frustrating because you feel awful but don't have an actual headache to point to. It can definitely last for days and leave you completely exhausted. Please take some time off and rest.

Haan, it can easily go on for 2-3 days and make you feel completely drained. What works for me is simple: drinking plenty of water, avoiding bright screens, and resting in a quiet room. Don't worry, but do see a local doc if it doesn't stop.

Beta, in our days we called these vague head discomforts. Yes, they can linger for days. Try placing a cool cloth on your forehead and drinking warm ginger water to ease the nausea. If it persists, please show it to a proper doctor.

It can definitely last for days and disrupt your work. Instead of directly going for expensive MRI scans on your own, just visit a general physician first. They can prescribe basic, low-cost migraine management options that actually work.
