Can a pulmonologist treat asthma?

I've been managing my asthma with a general physician for a while, but sometimes I feel like I need more specialized care. My friend suggested seeing a pulmonologist. Are they the right doctor to treat asthma completely?

Why would you even doubt this? A pulmonologist is literally a lung specialist, so yes, they are the best people for asthma. Don't listen to random people online suggesting home remedies for breathing issues; always go to a qualified specialist doctor.

Yes, absolutely! My roommate has bad dust allergies and asthma, and he regularly sees a pulmonologist. They gave him the right inhaler and sorted his routine out. Definitely book an appointment if you need one.

Oh, they absolutely do! My uncle is a big-time foodie but his asthma used to act up with cold drinks and ice creams. His pulmonologist helped him manage it so well that now he enjoys his favorite desserts without any fear, though in moderation of course.

Haan, pulmonologists are lung doctors and they treat asthma daily. It is much better to see them directly rather than visiting general clinics repeatedly. They will give you the right inhaler therapy which actually saves money and hospital visits in the long run.
