Can a pregnant woman sleep on her belly?

I'm in my first trimester and usually sleep on my stomach, which is my most comfortable position. I've heard conflicting advice about sleeping positions during pregnancy, with some saying it's fine early on. Is it safe for a pregnant woman to sleep on her belly, especially in the early months, or should I avoid it completely?

In the first trimester it is fine, but as the belly grows, sleeping on your side is much safer and more comfortable. Try using a maternity pillow.

Early on it's totally okay, but once that cute baby bump starts showing, you won't even find it comfortable! 🤰 It's best to switch to sleeping on your left side for better blood flow. Keep smiling!

I totally get it, if you are a tummy sleeper it is so hard to change your sleeping position suddenly! But as your pregnancy progresses, sleeping on your stomach becomes impossible. Try putting a pillow between your legs for comfort.

Suru ke dino mein toh thik hai, par jab pet bada hone lage tab pet ke bal nahi sona chahiye. Hamare yahan buzurg kehte hain ki hamesha karwat lekar sona chahiye, isse bache ko bhi aaram rehta hai.

It is safe during the first few weeks, but later you must switch to your side. Staying active with daily gentle walks and simple prenatal stretches will also help you get better sleep on your side without back pain.

During my wife's pregnancy, the doctor advised sleeping on the left side to keep blood pressure and circulation optimal. If you have any BP issues, sleeping on your belly is definitely not recommended after the first trimester.

Initially it is fine, but later on it is not safe. When I was pregnant, I used to keep pillows all around my back and front so I wouldn't accidentally roll onto my stomach in the middle of the night. It really helps!
