Can a pinched nerve in your neck cause tooth pain?

I have this weird throbbing pain in one of my back teeth, but my dentist couldn't find anything wrong after X-rays. I also have a recurring stiff neck and shoulder pain. Could a pinched nerve in my neck somehow be causing this tooth pain, like referred pain?

I tried clove oil and warm salt water gargles for weeks thinking it was a tooth problem, but nothing worked. It turned out to be a nerve issue in my neck radiating upwards. If dental treatments aren't helping, definitely check your neck with a doctor.

Yes, it is possible because the nerves in our face and neck are connected. My college-going son had this same issue last year and we spent weeks at the dentist before a general doctor found it was a neck nerve spasm. Get it checked by a GP first.

Oh, that sounds so annoying! Yes, a neck issue can totally send pain signals down to your jaw and teeth. If you've already visited a dentist and they said your teeth are fine, definitely book an appointment with a neurologist or physical therapist.

It can actually happen due to radiating nerve pain. Because I have thyroid issues, I have learned that we must keep tracking our health and consult a physician whenever we get weird, unexplained pain like this instead of guessing.

Haan na, it actually can because of the trigeminal nerve pathway. It feels like a bad toothache but the dentist will find nothing wrong. Better to show a physician or a neuro doctor to check your neck, ho na.
