Can a person survive without a liver?

My neighbour's husband is in a very critical condition with severe liver damage. It's so scary to hear about. I was just wondering, is it medically possible for a person to survive if their liver completely fails or is removed?

Nahi yaar, liver ke bina toh survive nahi kar sakte, actually. Liver hamari body ka main engine hai na, chemical processing ke liye. Haan, par partial liver transplant zaroor ho sakta hai jahan healthy part grow ho jata hai baad mein. But bilkul bina liver ke toh life possible nahi hai.

Agree with others, you cannot survive without a liver at all. It performs too many critical functions for the body. If there's any severe liver issue, please consult a transplant specialist immediately for proper guidance.

Haan na, bina liver ke toh bilkul nahi chalega. kidney ka toh bypass ya dialysis hota hai, but liver ka aisa koi machine nahi hai support ke liye. It is a very vital organ. Agala kuch bada issue hai toh direct doc se hi milna chahiye, risk nahi lene ka.

Bhaiya, bina kaleje ke insaan kaise jiyega? Hamare yahan ek babuji ka liver kharab ho gaya tha, toh unke bete ne apna adha liver unko diya. Bhagwan ki daya se ab dono thik hain. Par bina kaleje ke koi nahi bach sakta, turant bade doctor ko dikhao.

No, a person cannot live without a liver. However, please remember that the liver has an amazing ability to regenerate itself if caught in time, or a partial transplant can save lives. Sending you strength and positive thoughts.

Survival is completely impossible without a functioning liver as it filters toxins and manages digestion. If you or a loved one are showing symptoms like jaundice, dark urine, or severe abdominal swelling, please don't search online. Go to a hospital emergency room immediately.
