Can a person survive without a kidney?

My uncle has been having some serious kidney problems lately, and the doctors are discussing some tough options. This got me thinking, is it actually possible for someone to live a normal life with just one kidney, or even without any, if they get proper treatment? Thoda tension ho raha hai.

Listen, don't worry at all. Yes, a person can live a completely normal and healthy life with just one kidney. Thousands of people do it, whether they are born with one or donated one. Just make sure to drink enough water and keep your BP in check, okay? Take it easy.

Yes, absolutely they can. My neighbor donated a kidney to his sister ten years ago. Both of them are doing absolutely fine and leading very happy, normal lives. Hope this gives you some comfort.

Absolutely, survival is 100% possible. In gym circles, we see guys who have single kidneys, and they still train and manage. You just have to be extra careful with your protein intake and not overload the remaining kidney. Proper hydration and regular low-impact workouts keep everything running smooth.

Hello, I am quite new to learning about these things. It's so amazing that the body can adapt with just one kidney. But I wanted to ask, do they have to stay on heavy medicines forever after that, or does the body just handle it naturally after some time? Pls guide if anyone knows.

My uncle had to get one of his kidneys removed last year and honestly, I was so terrified. I couldn't sleep for days thinking about how he would survive. Has anyone else gone through this anxiety when a family member was operated on? Seeing him totally fine now helps, but that fear is so real.

Yes, medically speaking, one kidney is more than enough to filter everything. But I get so anxious thinking about what if the other one gets a stone or some infection? I keep reading up on it online, which probably makes my panic worse. If you are dealing with this, just get regular urine tests done to keep your peace of mind.
