Can a person have a stroke and not know it?

My uncle recently had a mild stroke, and he didn't even realize it until much later when he went for a check-up. I'm wondering if something like that is common, can a person really have a stroke and not know it at all?

Yes, actually it is called a silent stroke. My father's doctor explained that small blockages in tiny brain vessels can happen without obvious symptoms like facial drooping or slurred speech. We only found out during an MRI for his headaches, so getting proper neurological tests is always best.

In my 65 years, I have seen this happen with a close friend of mine. He felt a little dizzy one afternoon but ignored it, and months later the doctor told him it was a mild stroke. Don't ignore sudden numbness or slurring, but don't live in constant fear either.

Hey, don't stress too much about this, okay? While silent strokes are a real thing, worrying 24/7 won't help you. Just keep a regular check on your health and blood pressure, and if you ever feel something weird, just visit a doc.

Listen to me, don't let Google scare you with crazy articles. Yes, silent strokes can happen, but keeping your blood pressure under check is the main thing here. If you or any family member are feeling fine, just do your annual health checkups and stay relaxed.

Yes, sometimes very mild strokes go unnoticed when our mind and body are too chaotic. From my years of practicing pranayama, I've realized how crucial deep breathing is for healthy blood circulation. Please stay calm and consult a specialist if you feel any persistent numbness.

I literally lost sleep last year thinking a sudden brief dizzy spell was a silent stroke! Honestly, I ran to the neurologist and everything was perfectly fine, just stress and low hydration. So don't panic right away, just get a professional checkup done to clear your mind.
