Can a person die from vomiting?

My son had a terrible stomach bug last week, and he was vomiting non-stop for almost a day. It was quite scary seeing him so weak. I was wondering, can excessive vomiting actually be fatal for someone, especially kids or older people?

Honestly, yes, if you keep vomiting constantly and can't even keep water down, severe dehydration can become super dangerous. My friend had to get hospitalized on an IV drip during hostel food poisoning. Don't ignore it if you're feeling totally drained.

Yes, continuous vomiting can lead to severe electrolyte imbalance and dehydration, which can be fatal if ignored. Much like keeping track of my thyroid health through regular checkups, you must monitor symptoms closely. If it doesn't stop in a day, follow up with a doctor immediately.

This is my biggest fear whenever I get food poisoning, I panic so much thinking my body will collapse from all the vomiting. Does anyone else get severe panic attacks when they feel nauseous? It's terrifying how fast you lose energy.

Extreme vomiting can indeed cause severe fluid loss, which is very risky for the heart and organs. When the stomach is calm, sipping warm water slowly helps. But if the vomiting is uncontrollable, you must seek medical help immediately rather than waiting.

Severe dehydration from vomiting can land you in a private hospital ICU, which costs a fortune. It's much cheaper and safer to use ORS packets early at home to maintain your hydration. If that doesn't work, visit a local clinic before it turns into a costly emergency.

haan, agar lagatar ulti ho aur sharir ka saara paani khatam ho jaye, toh insaan critical ho sakta hai. Isiliye ORS peete rehna chahiye na. Agar ulti bilkul na ruke toh dactar ke paas jaakar sui lagwa lena hi sabse sahi hai.

I always overthink this because a bad bout of vomiting makes my heart race and makes me feel like I might faint. The fear of dehydration leading to organ damage is so real. If you are struggling, please get medical attention soon so you can get an injection to stop it and feel safe.

Don't let yourself get too scared, but yes, severe and persistent vomiting can be dangerous due to extreme dehydration. Keep taking small sips of ORS or coconut water to stay safe. If you can't keep any liquids down for hours, let's get you to a clinic right away.

In our younger days, we would take a little ginger or lemon water to settle mild nausea. However, if a person is vomiting repeatedly and losing all strength, it is a sign of severe infection or blockage. You must not delay and immediately seek professional medical treatment.

Please don't listen to people telling you to drink random herbal mixtures when you are vomiting constantly. It can worsen stomach irritation or lead to severe kidney strain from dehydration. Verify your symptoms with a qualified doctor and get proper medical treatment.
