Can a pelvic ultrasound detect ovarian cancer?

My mother had ovarian cancer, so I'm quite vigilant about screenings. I'm due for a check-up soon, and I wanted to know specifically if a pelvic ultrasound is effective in detecting ovarian cancer. Should I push for other tests too, just in case?

An ultrasound can show if there is an abnormal mass or cyst in the ovaries, which helps doctors catch things early. Just like how I have to manage my high blood pressure with regular checkups and lifestyle adjustments, staying on top of these diagnostic tests is very important. Consult your doctor for proper guidance.

Please do not ignore any ongoing bloating or pelvic pain hoping it will go away. I delayed getting checked for my symptoms years ago and really regretted it when the issue became complicated. A pelvic ultrasound is a simple test that can spot changes in the ovaries, so book an appointment right now.

Haan na, even hearing the word cancer makes us so anxious, but a pelvic ultrasound is just a basic step. It helps the doctor see if there is any solid mass or fluid in the ovaries. Better to get the scan done than to keep worrying, ho na?

We had to get a pelvic ultrasound done for my young daughter when she was experiencing severe abdominal discomfort. The scan is very helpful in showing the structure of the ovaries, but the doctors told us that only a biopsy can confirm cancer. It is best to get the scan done to understand what is happening.

Yes, a pelvic ultrasound can detect suspicious lumps or cysts on the ovaries. However, a doctor will need further tests like a biopsy or blood work to confirm if it is cancer.

While a pelvic ultrasound is essential to see if there are any physical growths or fluid around the ovaries, it is not a final test for cancer. I always believe in eating a clean, home-cooked vegetarian diet to keep the body strong, but medical tests are absolutely necessary when you have such concerns.

Haan, pelvic ultrasound se doctor ko ovaries ka size aur koi abnormal cyst hai toh dikh jata hai. Par ab iska matlab yeh nahi ki har cyst cancer hi hota hai, uske liye aur tests hote hain na. Aap bina darr ke doctor se milo aur unki salah lo.
