Can a pe cause a heart attack?

My uncle recently had a pulmonary embolism, and he also has heart issues. I was wondering if there's a direct connection between PE and having a heart attack. Is it something I should be concerned about if someone in my family has had a PE?

A pulmonary embolism is a serious medical emergency and it puts immense strain on the heart, which can lead to life-threatening complications. Please do not wait or look for answers online if you or anyone is experiencing symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath. Go to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately.

Treatment for cardiac and lung issues gets incredibly expensive in private hospitals, so it is best to act early. Better to get basic tests like an ECG or D-dimer done at a local lab first if your doctor suggests it. Getting a good health insurance policy that covers emergency hospitalisation is also a life-saver.

I completely understand how terrifying these medical terms can be when you search them online, it literally kept me awake for nights. PE is serious because it blocks blood flow in the lungs and stresses the heart, but panic makes the chest tightness feel worse. Take a deep breath and let a cardiologist evaluate you to ease your mind.

I was just reading up on this because my uncle had a deep vein thrombosis scare recently. From what I understood, PE doesn't cause a typical heart attack where the coronary arteries are blocked, but it can cause sudden heart failure due to high pressure. It is definitely a major emergency that needs instant hospital care.

Haan na, even reading about blood clots and heart health makes one so nervous. Actually, PE can put a lot of pressure on the right side of the heart, which is very risky. Better to talk to a proper doc instead of taking any tension, ho na?

Honestly, if there are symptoms like sudden breathlessness, chest pain, or coughing blood, don't waste time researching on your phone. Book a doctor appointment or go to an emergency clinic right away. When it comes to heart and lung blockages, every single minute counts.

Let's be very clear, PE is a major medical emergency. It blocks blood flow in the lungs which instantly overworks the heart muscle, leading to severe cardiac strain or arrest. If someone is having these symptoms, skip the online forums and head straight to the ER.

Please do not trust any home remedies or WhatsApp forwards if someone is dealing with suspected PE or heart issues. These are highly critical situations that only doctors can handle with proper scans and blood thinners. Get to a hospital and let the professionals do their job.
