Can a paralyzed person feel pain?

My cousin met with an accident and is now paralyzed from the waist down. We try to be very careful with her, but sometimes I wonder about her pain perception. Can a paralyzed person still feel pain in the affected areas, or is that sensation completely gone?

Haan, bilkul feel kar sakte hain. Humare pados mein ek babuji hain, unka sharir kaam nahi karta par unko pairon mein jalan aur dard bohot hota hai. Doctor saheb ne bataya ki naso ki wajah se aisa hota hai.

Yes, pain is possible and it should never be ignored. Unexplained pain in a paralyzed person can sometimes indicate an underlying issue like an infection or pressure sore. Get them checked by their specialist regularly to stay safe.

Yes, they feel nerve pain quite often. Just like managing my high BP requires regular checkups and lifestyle changes, managing a paralyzed person's pain requires a proper routine, physiotherapy, and doctor's advice.

Yes, paralyzed individuals often experience neuropathic pain below the level of injury. My doctor friend explained that the damaged nervous system sends wrong pain signals to the brain. It requires specific neuropathic medications prescribed by a neurologist.

From what I have seen over the years, yes, they do feel pain. It is often a deep, burning or tingling pain because the nerves are damaged. God gives them strength, but we must make sure they get the right medical treatment.

Yes, they can feel pain, which seems like a cruel joke of nature since they can't move. It is usually neuropathic pain. My joints ache just sitting on the sofa, so I can only imagine how tough nerve pain must be for them. Proper doctors can help manage it.

It sounds weird, but yes, they actually can feel a lot of nerve pain even if they can't move. Honestly, managing health issues is so exhausting. They definitely need proper medical care to deal with that constant burning sensation.
