Can a ovary cyst cause back pain?

Recently found out I have an ovarian cyst during a routine check-up. For the past few weeks, I've also been having a dull ache in my lower back, especially on one side. Could the cyst be the reason for this back pain, or are they unrelated?

Yes, it definitely can. I had a 5cm cyst and the lower back pain was unbearable. I went to a gynecologist at Max Hospital and they got an ultrasound done to confirm it. Please ask your doctor clearly about this.

Absolutely, it can. When the cyst grows, it puts pressure on your pelvic area and radiates to the lower back. Don't sit on it, just book an ultrasound and get it checked out ASAP.

Yes beta, it can cause backache because of the pressure inside. You can try a warm heating pad on your back for some temporary relief. But do get a proper checkup done, home remedies can only soothe the pain, not cure the cyst.

Yes, ovarian cysts are a very common cause of lower back and pelvic pain. I have interacted with many women who had the same issue. Usually, the pain subsides once the cyst is treated or dissolves, so keep in touch with your gynac.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai. Mere cousin ko bhi bohot back pain rehta tha aur baad mein cyst nikla. Tum thoda aaram karo aur heat bag use karlo, par dr ko dikhana mat bhoolna, na?

Yes, it happens because of the pelvic pressure. When I had a cyst, stretching helped slightly, but you shouldn't do heavy lifting or intense core workouts as it might cause torsion. Focus on clean eating and light walks till it gets resolved.
