Can a mini stroke cause hallucinations?

My neighbor, who is recovering from what the doctors called a mini-stroke, has started seeing things that aren't there. Her family is very worried. Is it possible for a mini-stroke to cause someone to have hallucinations?

I see double when I don't sleep for two days, but real hallucinations after a mini stroke sounds serious. The brain is probably still trying to reboot itself. Please call the doctor instead of waiting it out, safety first.

Actually yaar, a mini stroke or TIA can sometimes mess with your vision or brain processing temporarily. If the blood flow was hit in the back of the brain, it can cause weird visual tricks. You should get them to a neurologist immediately to check, don't ignore it.

I had a TIA three months ago and actually saw strange flashing lights and shadows that weren't there. My doctor told me it happens when the occipital lobe gets temporary low blood flow. It went away soon, but please consult your neurologist immediately.

If I saw a giant plate of biryani floating in the air, I would blame my diet, but this sounds different. A mini stroke can temporarily confuse the brain pathways. Better to get a quick checkup done to ensure everything is settling down fine.

In my sixty years, I have seen that our brain behaves very strangely when its blood supply is even slightly disturbed. My elder brother faced temporary confusion and saw shadows after his mild stroke. With proper medication, these symptoms usually fade away entirely.
