Can a migraine make you nauseous?

My daughter has started getting these bad headaches, and sometimes she feels like throwing up with them. We're trying to figure out what's causing them. Is it common for a migraine to make someone feel nauseous like that?

Yes, I think so. With my PCOS, hormone shifts often trigger both migraines and nausea together. It is very uncomfortable, but please consult a doctor to find the safe way to manage both symptoms.

I am actually quite new to dealing with migraines and started feeling really sick to my stomach yesterday. Is nausea really that common with this? Should I visit a doctor to get some medicine for the stomach upset too?

Don't just trust random home remedies or internet forums for treating your nausea. Yes, it is a known migraine symptom, but you should verify with a certified doctor to get the correct prescription rather than self-treating.

Oh, I panicked so bad the first time I got nauseous with a headache, thinking it was some major illness! But my doctor reassured me it's just a classic migraine symptom. Don't worry too much, just get a checkup to get the right meds.

Yes, it can. My son gets highly nauseous and even vomits during his migraine attacks. I always keep him hydrated with small sips of water and make sure we consult his pediatrician for proper medication.

Yes, child, migraines often cause a very uneasy stomach. Sometimes sipping a little ginger tea or smelling lemon peel can bring mild comfort. But if you cannot keep anything down, you must visit a doctor without delay.
