Can a mattress cause lower back pain?

For a while now, I've been having this persistent lower back pain, especially after I sleep. My friend suggested that it might be due to my mattress getting old and worn out. Is it true that a bad mattress can specifically cause lower back pain?

Yes, it can. Since thyroid issues can also make your muscles and joints ache, it is easy to confuse the two. Definitely get your regular blood tests done but also look into changing your mattress if it is saggy.

Yes, a bad mattress is a major cause of lower back pain. Just like managing high BP requires lifestyle adjustments and proper checkups, addressing chronic back pain starts with checking your sleeping surface.

Yes, a mattress can cause it, but please don't just assume it is the mattress and ignore it. I ignored my back pain for a year thinking it was just a bad bed and regretted it when it turned out to be a severe disc bulge. Get checked by a doctor.

Yeah, totally! I was sleeping on a super cheap, soft hostel mattress and my lower back started hurting so bad. I swapped it for a firmer one and the pain is literally gone.

Yes, it absolutely can! Try shifting to a medium-firm mattress and see how your back feels. Wishing you pain-free mornings ahead! 😊
