Can a mattress cause back pain?

I've been waking up with terrible lower back pain for the past few months. I've tried everything from exercises to changing my posture, but it's still there. Could my old mattress be the actual culprit behind my recurring back pain?

Oh absolutely! If your mattress is older than your college degree, your spine is going to complain. Time to upgrade before you start walking like a bendy straw!

I was seriously panicking thinking I had some major spinal issue because of my constant lower back pain. Actually, I changed my soft sagging mattress to an orthopedic one, and the pain vanished in a week.

Yes, a bad mattress ruins your spinal alignment. Along with getting a firm mattress, starting some light core strengthening exercises and a daily 30-minute walk can really help relieve the ache.

Definitely. A sagging mattress doesn't support the lower back properly. Go buy a medium-firm coir or memory foam mattress, it makes a world of difference.
