Can a hydrocele cause pain?

My younger brother recently developed a hydrocele, but he's saying it doesn't hurt him at all. I always thought such conditions would cause pain or discomfort. Is it possible for a hydrocele to be completely painless, or could pain develop later on?

When my cousin had swelling, we went to a well-known hospital to get it checked. They told us that while a hydrocele is usually painless, it can definitely cause a dragging sensation or mild discomfort as it gets larger. I highly recommend visiting a good hospital so a urologist can examine it and give you clear advice.

Please don't ignore this if you are feeling pain. I delayed getting my swelling checked, and it turned out to be an infection that caused severe complications and a lot of suffering later on. If there is actual pain, it could mean an infection or hernia, so please see a doctor immediately.

I completely panicked when I first noticed swelling and some dull aching down there, thinking it was something terrible. But the urologist examined me, did a quick scan, and reassured me that it was a simple hydrocele and completely benign. The pain was just from the weight, so don't worry too much, just get it checked.

Yes, a hydrocele can definitely cause discomfort or a heavy feeling. It is best to consult a general surgeon or urologist to get a simple ultrasound done for peace of mind.

Haan bhai, thoda pain ya bhari-bhari lagna toh bilkul normal hai hydrocele mein, par ye koi darrne wali baat nahi hai. Swelling badhne se khinchao hota hai na, isliye discomfort lagta hai. Doctor ko dikha lo, chota sa treatment hota hai aur sab theek ho jata hai.

Hey! Typically, a hydrocele is just fluid buildup and doesn't cause sharp pain, though you might feel a heavy, dragging sensation. However, if you are experiencing sudden or severe pain, it could indicate an infection or a twist, which needs immediate medical attention. Get it looked at by a doctor to be safe.

My husband went through this last year and he was experiencing a lot of dull pain and discomfort, especially by the end of the day. He was really worried, but a quick visit to the urologist and a simple procedure made him completely fine. It's a very common issue, so please encourage him to see a doctor.

In my younger days, I dealt with a hydrocele and remember feeling quite a bit of discomfort and heaviness when walking or sitting for long. Back then, I was hesitant to talk about it, but getting a simple surgical procedure done cleared it up completely. Don't suffer in silence, modern medical care makes it very easy to resolve.
