Can a high fever cause vomiting in adults?

I've been down with a fever since yesterday, and along with it, I'm also feeling very nauseous and have vomited a couple of times. I'm wondering if the high fever itself is causing the vomiting, or if it's something else entirely.

Please don't ignore this. Last year, I had a high fever with vomiting and thought it was just a normal viral infection, but it turned out to be a severe kidney infection that got worse because I delayed going to the hospital. Get yourself checked by a doctor immediately before things complicate.

Haan, bilkul ho sakti hai vomiting jab tez bukhar ho. Hamara shareer andar ki bimari se lad raha hota hai toh digestion bilkul thap pad jata hai. Par agar baar baar ulti ho rahi hai toh turant doctor ke paas jao, ghar pe baith kar wait mat karo.

Haan na, high fever mein ulti hona toh bohot common hai, pure body ka balance bigad jata hai na. It feels really terrible and weak. Apne doctor se baat karke koi acchi dava le lo, aur please thoda thoda karke paani peete raho takki dehydration na ho.

Just recovered from a brutal viral fever last week where I was vomiting constantly on the first two days. My doctor told me it's quite common when the body temperature spikes rapidly, but dehydration is the biggest risk. They gave me an injection for vomiting and I felt much better, so do visit a clinic.

I actually had this exact issue last month when I got food poisoning along with a massive fever. It's so exhausting when you can't keep even water down. Try taking tiny sips of ORS or electral water so you don't get dehydrated, and definitely consult a doctor for some anti-vomiting medicine.
