Can a heart attack cause diarrhea?

My elderly father has been having some unusual symptoms lately, and I'm trying to understand everything. I read online that sometimes, less common symptoms like diarrhea can be related to heart issues. Can a heart attack actually cause diarrhea as one of its symptoms?

With my thyroid issues, my digestion is always acting up, but I learned that sudden digestive issues like diarrhea can sometimes accompany a heart attack, especially due to stress or nerve responses. Don't just dismiss it as bad food. Please get your heart checked by a doctor and run regular blood tests to be absolutely sure.

Hey, don't stress too much! Usually, diarrhea is just from something bad you ate yesterday, not a heart attack. But yes, if you also have chest pain, heavy sweating, or breathing issues, then you should definitely see a doctor right away. Just stay hydrated and get checked to be safe!

Bhai, humare yahan toh log sochte hain ki pet kharab hona matlab kuch galat kha liya hoga. Par kabhi-kabhi dil ki takleef mein bhi ulti aur dast ho jata hai, aisa doctor sahab kehte hain. Agar chhati mein thoda bhi bhari-pan lag raha ho, toh turant doctor ke paas jao, deri mat karo.

Beta, if it is just a simple stomach upset, some warm fennel water or buttermilk with roasted cumin will calm it down. But if you are experiencing sweating, dizziness, or chest heaviness along with it, do not rely on home remedies. Go to a hospital immediately as these can be signs of a heart issue.

Yes, it is possible! The body can go into a state of shock during a heart attack, which can affect your stomach too. If you are feeling fine otherwise, it is probably just a mild stomach bug. Drink lots of ORS and coconut water, but definitely see a doctor if you feel any chest discomfort.

Haan na, sometimes the body behaves so weirdly during a medical emergency. While it's rare, the vagus nerve stimulation during a heart attack can actually cause diarrhea or nausea. If someone is having these symptoms along with cold sweats, please consult a doctor immediately, safety first ho na.

I totally get it, worrying about sudden symptoms like this can make you feel really anxious and scared. While diarrhea is usually just a simple stomach upset, it can sometimes be a lesser-known sign of a cardiac event due to stress on the body. Please see a doctor right away to get a clear and safe diagnosis.
