Can a groin strain cause testicular pain?

I recently strained my groin while playing cricket, and since then I've been having some pain in my testicles too. I'm worried if these two things are connected. Is it possible for a groin strain to cause testicular pain?

I completely understand how terrifying this must feel; testicular pain is incredibly scary and can cause major anxiety. Yes, nerve pathways in the groin are connected, so a strain can sometimes radiate pain there. Please get a physical exam done by a doctor just to put your mind at ease.

Yes, it can. My doctor explained that the ilioinguinal nerve runs right through the groin area, and inflammation from a muscle strain can compress this nerve, causing referred pain in the testicles. However, you must get an ultrasound to rule out issues like hernia or testicular torsion.

Haan na, it actually can happen because the muscles and nerves are all very close by. I had a severe gym injury and felt the same pain, tension badh gayi thi. But do consult a doc once to be sure, okay?

I panicked like crazy when this happened to me after playing football, thinking it was something very serious. Turns out it was just a simple groin pulled muscle radiating down. Rest, ice packs, and basic stretching sorted it out, so don't worry too much.

It can cause radiating pain, but don't panic and rush for expensive scans immediately. Go to a government hospital or a reliable local clinic first; a simple physical checkup by a general surgeon is very cheap and will tell you if you actually need an ultrasound.

I don't have personal experience with this specific issue, but dealing with chronic PCOS has taught me that pelvic and groin pain can often radiate to nearby areas. It is always safest to check with a doctor to get an accurate diagnosis rather than guessing.

When I pulled my groin muscle during athletics, I felt a sharp ache in my testicular area too. I didn't want to take any chances, so I visited a urologist who confirmed it was just referred muscle pain. Resting for a week helped me recover completely.
