Can a fever go away on its own without medicine?

Been feeling a bit warm for a day or so, and I'm wondering if I should just rest it out. Does a fever sometimes resolve completely without taking any medication?

I have tried putting cold strips of cloth on the forehead and drinking tulsi-ginger tea, which really helps with mild warmth. But if the body temperature is rising fast, please don't rely only on these home remedies. A doctor's advice is necessary if it doesn't settle.

Yes, a minor viral fever can leave your system without medicine if your immunity is good. When this happened to me, I just took complete bed rest and drank liters of warm water. But remember, if the fever crosses 101 or stays for 48 hours, you must get medical help.

With my kids, I've seen mild temperatures come down naturally with just sponge baths and plenty of fluids. But as a parent, I never take chances if they look dull or the fever doesn't budge. If they are active, wait a bit, otherwise call your pediatrician.

Honestly, I get so scared whenever I get a warm forehead and start googling everything. While mild fevers can resolve on their own, I always worry it might be dengue or malaria. Please monitor it closely and see a doctor just to be safe and ease your mind.

Please be very careful about waiting it out without medicine. Last year, I ignored a mild fever thinking it would go away, but it turned out to be a severe infection that landed me in the hospital. Get a proper checkup done before things get complicated.

In our younger days, we used to rest in a breezy room and drink warm kadha, and minor fevers would often pass. But times have changed and new viruses are quite strong. Try light food and rest, but do consult a doctor if the fever persists past a day.
