Can a fever go away in a day?

I've had a mild fever since yesterday morning, and I'm hoping it's just a 24-hour thing. Can a fever really go away completely in just one day, or does it usually take longer?

Yes, a mild 24-hour viral fever or a reaction to exhaustion can definitely resolve within a single day. Make sure you still rest well the next day and don't immediately jump into heavy activities, as your body is still recovering.

Yes, sometimes a mild heat fever can go away in a day with just good rest and home care. I usually give some warm ginger water or tulsi tea to drink and place a damp cloth on the forehead to cool the body. If it goes away quickly, it is a blessing, but keep resting.

Oh, to have a fever that packs its bags and leaves in just one day! Yes, it can happen if it is just a minor bug or reaction. Enjoy the quick recovery, but don't run a marathon immediately; your 40-something body still needs some quiet time.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai na! Sometimes it is just a mild viral strain or body fatigue, and it clears up within 24 hours with a simple paracetamol. Just take it easy for another day and drink lots of water, back to normal life very soon!

I totally get it, you are probably hoping it is just a quick 24-hour bug so you can get back to your routine. Yes, some mild fevers do go away in a day. Just listen to your body and don't rush things if you still feel a bit weak.

It is entirely possible for a brief fever to subside within 24 hours. However, as someone managing high blood pressure, I always advise keeping a track of your vitals. Make sure to monitor your temperature and pressure, and consult a doctor if any dizziness persists.

In all my years, I have seen many family members get a sudden fever that vanishes by the next morning. Often, it is just the body's quick way of clearing a small fatigue or minor germ. Sleep it off, eat some simple curd rice, and you will be perfectly fine.
