Can a fast flow teat cause vomiting?

We recently switched to a faster flow teat for my 6-month-old's milk bottle, and now he seems to be spitting up and vomiting more often. Is it possible that a fast flow teat can cause a baby to vomit?

I am so worried because my 3-month-old started throwing up after I switched to a medium-flow teat. He gulping down the milk so fast and then he just spits up everything. Did anyone else experience this with their babies?

Actually yes, yaar. If the flow is too fast, the baby swallows a lot of air while trying to keep up. That extra air creates gas and makes them vomit. Try switching back to a slow-flow teat and see if it helps.

Arre, if you try to drink water from a fire hose, you will also choke and throw up! Babies are the same. A fast-flow teat forces too much milk down their tiny throats, leading to immediate spitting up. Go back to a slower size and save yourself the cleaning drama.

Yes, absolutely. Fast flow causes rapid feeding, which leads to aerophagia (swallowing air) and gastroesophageal reflux, causing the baby to vomit. Match the teat size strictly to your baby's age, and feed them in an upright position.

While a fast-flow teat is a common cause of spitting up, persistent vomiting can also indicate reflux or other digestive issues. If the baby is vomiting forcefully, losing weight, or seems in pain, please consult your pediatrician immediately.

Haan behan, bilkul ho sakta hai. Jab doodh bahut tez aata hai toh bachha dhang se pi nahi paata aur pet me hawa bhar jaati hai, jisse ulti ho jaati hai. Aap chhota ched wala nipple use karo, bachha theek rahega.

Definitely. Too fast a flow leads to overfeeding and excess air intake. I track my baby's feeding cycles and spit-up frequency on an app, and switching to a colic-friendly, slow-flow nipple dramatically reduced the spit-ups. Try paced bottle feeding.

We just went through this last week with my daughter. She was vomiting after every feed because we upgraded to level 3 teats. We switched back to level 2, started burping her midway, and the vomiting stopped completely.
