Can a dr tell if you had a heart attack?

A few months back, I had some really bad chest pain that lasted for a while, but then it went away. I didn't go to the hospital at the time. Now I'm wondering, can a doctor still tell if I had a heart attack even if it was a while ago?

Yes, doctors can easily tell by doing an ECG, blood tests like Troponin, or an Echo scan. Please don't wait if you are experiencing any chest pain, heavy sweating, or pain radiating to your left arm. These are serious red flags, go to an emergency room immediately.

Yes, they can tell through an ECG and specific blood tests. Diabetics often have silent heart attacks without typical chest pain due to nerve damage. Keep your sugar and blood pressure under control, and do regular cardiac health checkups.

I panicked last year thinking my heavy chest tightness was a heart attack, but the doctor did an ECG and blood tests and said it was just severe gastric reflux. Doctors have very precise tests to find out, so don't worry, just get it checked to be sure.

My granddad had a mild chest pain last month and we rushed him to the hospital. The doctors did some quick blood tests and an ECG and immediately confirmed it was a minor heart attack. They are super quick at diagnosing this, so definitely get checked.

Of course they can. Even if it happened weeks ago, an ECG, Echocardiogram, or Troponin blood test will clearly show heart muscle damage. If you suspect anything, bypass the internet and go straight to a proper cardiologist.
