Can a cold cause vomiting in adults?

I've had a terrible cold for the past two days, and this morning I actually vomited. I always thought vomiting was only for stomach flu, not a normal cold. Is it possible for adults to experience vomiting just from a common cold?

Haan yaar, bado mein bhi sardi ki wajah se vomiting ho sakti hai, na. Jab zyada balgham (mucus) gale se pet mein jata hai toh nausea hone lagta hai. Garam paani piyo aur dhyan rakho.

My grandmother always recommended sipping warm jeera water to soothe the stomach when a cold makes you vomit. It helps a lot, but if the vomiting is severe, please consult a doctor to avoid weakness.

While coughing or post-nasal drip can cause vomiting, it is always safer to get it checked. Vomiting can lead to quick dehydration, so a doctor's advice is necessary if it happens repeatedly.

Yes, swallowed phlegm often irritates the stomach lining. Sucking on a small piece of ginger or drinking warm mint tea can really help settle the stomach naturally. Eat only soft, non-oily food.

I get so worried when a simple cold turns into vomiting, as it feels like some major stomach virus. If you are feeling weak, please don't stretch it and consult a doctor just to be safe.
