Can a canker sore cause tooth pain?

I have a really annoying canker sore inside my cheek right now, and it's making my tooth on that side ache. Is it possible for the canker sore itself to cause tooth pain, or is it just irritating my gum and making my tooth sensitive?

Oh absolutely! When I get a canker sore near my gums, even my teeth start aching, and it makes eating spicy street food a total nightmare. The pain just radiates all over that side of your mouth.

Yes, canker sores can cause radiating pain that feels like a toothache. I get these ulcers quite often when my thyroid levels are fluctuating, which is why I keep up with my regular blood tests. If the pain persists, do get a dentist to check it.

Haan na, it actually feels like a toothache because the swelling is right next to the gums. If the sore is deep, the pain spreads very easily. Just do warm water gargles, it will give you some relief.

Yes, it can, because the inflammation is very close to the tooth roots. I always use a pinch of turmeric paste or warm salt water rinses to soothe the area and reduce the ache. It really helps relieve the throbbing pain in the mouth.

Yes, referred pain is very common with oral ulcers. I logged my symptoms on my health tracker once and found that the nerve pathways in the jaw can make a gum sore feel exactly like a deep toothache. It usually subsides once the sore starts healing.
