Can a benign thyroid nodule grow?

A few months ago, I was diagnosed with a benign thyroid nodule, and my doctor is just monitoring it. I feel a bit of pressure in my throat sometimes, and I'm worried it might be getting bigger. Can a nodule that's not cancerous still increase in size over time?

Oh, they absolutely can grow. My sleep schedule is a mess and my thyroid is always acting up, and my doctor told me benign nodules can slowly get bigger over time. It doesn't mean it's cancerous, it just likes to take up extra space like my laundry on the bed.

Yes, they can definitely grow! My masi had one that got a bit bigger over the years, though she says it doesn't stop her from enjoying her daily samosas. If it grows too big, it might feel a little tight when swallowing, so just let your doctor keep an eye on it.

Vanakkam. Yes, a benign nodule can grow slowly over time. My mother told me to try some herbal pastes, but I prefer to trust our endocrinologist. They said as long as we monitor the size with yearly scans, there is nothing to worry about.

Haan, bilkul grow ho sakta hai. Benign hone ka matlab ye nahi ki size wahi rahega, thoda bohot change toh ho hi sakta hai na. Bas doctor se regularly check karwate raho taaki agar jyada bada ho toh wo timely treat kar sakein.

Yes, benign thyroid nodules can increase in size over time. It doesn't mean your health is failing, so don't stop your workouts or healthy eating. Just make sure to get an ultrasound done periodically so your doctor can track the exact growth rate.
