Can a bald person get dandruff?

I'm completely bald now, but I still feel my scalp gets very flaky and itchy, especially in winters. My wife says it looks like dandruff. Is it possible to have dandruff even if you don't have hair?

Yes, they can. Dandruff is a skin issue, not a hair issue, and it's caused by a fungus feeding on scalp oils. Just use a mild ketoconazole shampoo twice a week to keep the scalp clean.

Babu, dandruff is just dry and oily skin flaking off. You can gently apply a few drops of coconut oil mixed with a little lemon juice on the scalp before bathing. It keeps the skin healthy.

I lost all my hair and still have to deal with dandruff, life is really not fair! Since there is no hair to hide it, the flakes are actually more visible on a bald head. Keep the scalp moisturized.

Haha yes, absolutely! Dandruff is just your scalp shedding dead skin cells. 😅 Just wash your scalp daily with a gentle cleanser and keep it hydrated so it doesn't get dry and flaky!

I shave my head completely and still got dry flakes last winter. I started using a anti-dandruff face wash on my scalp while showering, and it completely cleared up in a week. Try to keep the scalp clean.

My husband recently shaved his head and now his scalp is peeling and itching like crazy. Is this really just dandruff or could it be some sort of fungal infection? Has anyone else faced this after shaving?
