Can 2 year molars cause vomiting?

My two-year-old has been really cranky and running a slight fever for the past few days, and she even vomited twice yesterday. My mother-in-law said it might be her two-year molars coming in. Can teething actually cause vomiting like this?

Teething itself usually doesn't directly cause vomiting, though the excess drool can sometimes upset a toddler's stomach. Make sure the kid is staying hydrated and eating simple, clean, easily digestible foods. If the vomiting persists, it's probably a stomach bug, so get a doctor's advice.

I remember crying so much when my daughter was getting her 2-year molars because she was throwing up and refusing to eat anything. It is so emotionally exhausting to see them in pain. It turned out she had a small stomach infection along with teething, so do get them checked by a doctor to ease your mind.

Just like regular thyroid checks help keep health on track, monitoring a toddler's symptoms during teething is very important. While slight nausea from swallowing excess saliva can happen, proper vomiting is not a typical symptom of 2-year molars. A follow-up with their pediatrician is highly recommended to rule out any viral issues.

My cousin is currently going through the 2-year molar phase and it's absolute chaos at home. He has spit up a couple of times because of all the drooling and putting dirty toys in his mouth, but proper vomiting is usually a stomach bug. Better to consult a doc instead of guessing.

Ah, the 2-year molars, also known as the phase where kids try to chew the sofa! While they drool like a leaky tap which can upset their tummy, actual projectile vomiting is usually a separate uninvited guest like a stomach bug. Keep the ORS ready and give your pediatrician a quick call!

With young kids, we have to be very careful and not assume everything is just teething. While drooling from molars can occasionally cause a mild gag reflex or slight spit-up, actual vomiting is usually a sign of a mild infection. Please consult your pediatrician to make sure it isn't something else.
