Cómo se contagia uno de hepatitis?

I'm trying to learn more about infectious diseases and how they spread. How does a person typically get hepatitis in general? Are there different types and different modes of transmission for each?

I can only speak from what happened in my family; my brother caught Hepatitis A from drinking contaminated water during the monsoon. He had high liver enzymes and was on bed rest for a month. We all became very strict about boiling drinking water after that.

Basically, Hep A spreads from bad food or water, like eating from unhygienic local stalls. But Hep B and C are different, they spread through blood, like dirty needles or unsafe tattoos. Just be careful where you eat and where you get inked!

Is it true that you can get Hepatitis even from sharing a toothbrush with someone? I recently read this online and now I'm feeling super anxious about it. Has anyone else worried about this or asked their doctor?

Hamare yahan kehte hain ki peeliya (hepatitis) kharab paani se hota hai. Hamesha paani ubaal kar peena chahiye, aur bahar ka khana thoda kam khayein. Apni sehat ka dhyan rakhein, sab theek hoga.

Hepatitis A is basically the universe punishing you for eating that extra plate of roadside panipuri with questionable water. Just stick to clean water and reputable food places, and you won't have to spend your days drinking bland coconut water!

Hepatitis A spreads through bad water, while B and C are blood-borne. If you think you were exposed, go for a screening panel; local diagnostic centers offer Hepatitis tests for around 500 to 1000 rupees. It is much cheaper to detect it early than managing liver damage later.

Don't panic, it is highly preventable. Hepatitis A and E spread through contaminated food/water, so wash your hands and drink clean water. Hepatitis B, C, and D spread through blood/fluids, so always use sterile needles and practice safe habits.
