Are you contagious with a fever of 99?

I've been feeling a bit warm and my temperature is around 99°F (37.2°C) – it's not very high. I have plans today, so I was wondering if I am considered contagious with such a mild fever.

Beta, even with a mild warmth of 99, the body is fighting some small infection, so you can spread it. Drink warm water with basil leaves and ginger ghar pe, it will soothe your throat. But if the fever rises or you feel weak, please consult a doctor.

A 99 fever is borderline, but you can definitely still be carrying and spreading germs. Honestly, when I have a mild fever, I just stay home and order some comforting hot thukpa or rasam rice. It's the best excuse to rest and eat warm, delicious comfort food!

I used to freak out even if my thermometer showed 99.1, thinking I was highly infectious and terribly sick. But 99 is just a low-grade temperature and often normal fluctuation. Just rest a bit, keep hydrated, and you'll be perfectly fine in a day or two.

Ah, 99 fever—the classic 'not sick enough to take leave, but too tired to work' zone. Yes, you can still be contagious depending on what virus it is. Best to keep your distance from family unless you want everyone complaining of body ache together.

Even with 99, you could be starting a viral infection, so yes, you can be contagious. No need to run to the clinic immediately for this. Just double up on handwashing, use a separate towel, and take steam at home to see if it clears up.

Yes, you can be! A 99 fever is low-grade but still means your immune system is reacting to something. I usually skip going to college or meeting friends when I feel warm like this, just to be safe and get some extra sleep.

I literally just had this last week! It started with a 99 fever and I thought it was nothing, but my roommate caught it the next day. It's definitely contagious, so wear a mask if you are around others and take it easy.

You can definitely be contagious, so please skip the gym today. Working out with a fever, even a mild 99, just strains your body and risks exposing others. Focus on high protein foods, stay hydrated, and rest up.

My thermometer showed 99 this morning and I am so worried I might spread it to my grandparents. Does anyone else get super anxious about infecting vulnerable family members even with a very tiny temperature like this?
