Are you born with asthma?

My young daughter was recently diagnosed with asthma. We don't really have a family history of it, so I was wondering if it's something people are typically born with, or if it can develop later in childhood due to other factors.

You aren't always born with it, though genetics play a big role. Many kids develop it later due to pollution. For mild wheezing, keeping the house dust-free and giving warm tulsi water helps, but never skip doctor-prescribed inhalers.

My pulmonologist explained that you aren't born with active asthma, but you can be born with a genetic predisposition to it. Environmental triggers like dust, pollen, or infections then trigger the actual symptoms later in life.

Haan, genetic connection toh hoti hai, but adults ko bhi sudden dust allergy se asthma ho jata hai na. Mere friend ko college ke baad shuru hua tha pollution ki wajah se. Doc se consult karna best hai.

No, many children get it as they grow up due to poor immunity and cold weather. While steam inhalation with a drop of nilgiri oil helps open the airways naturally, you must always keep their emergency medicine close by.

No, it can develop at any stage of life. Since autoimmune and respiratory issues can be linked, it's very important to get proper clinical allergy tests and regular doctor checkups instead of ignoring the symptoms.

I am trying to understand this because my nephew was just diagnosed. Can a child completely outgrow asthma as they grow older, or is it always a lifelong condition?
