Are white kidney beans the same as cannellini beans?

For a healthy Mediterranean dish, I need cannellini beans. When I went to the store, I only found white kidney beans. Are these two varieties interchangeable, or should I look specifically for cannellini beans?

Yes, they are literally the exact same thing! Cannellini is just the fancy Italian name for white kidney beans. So don't stress too much about finding both, just buy whichever packet is cheaper.

Yes, they are the same. I spent half an hour looking for 'cannellini' in the supermarket till my wife told me they are just white lobia or rajma. Save your energy and just buy the regular local ones.

They are indeed the same beans and are very good for natural digestion and heart health. However, if you are experiencing severe bloating or stomach pain after eating them, please consult a doctor instead of trying home remedies.

I recently had to switch to a high-fiber diet for my digestion recovery, and I used them interchangeably. They are identical in taste and texture. They work great in salads and soups.

Haha, yes! It's like calling your home 'shanty' or 'villa'. They are the same beans, just with a fancy European passport name. Cook them up without any confusion!
