Are wheat crackers good for diabetics?

My husband has diabetes, and we are always looking for healthy snack options for him. We often buy wheat crackers thinking they are better than regular biscuits, but I wanted to confirm. Are wheat crackers actually good for diabetics?

These packaged 'wheat' crackers are often very expensive and actually contain a lot of maida and preservatives. Instead of spending on packaged snacks, a simple home-made roast chana is much cheaper and better for sugar control. Keep track of your monthly testing costs too, that's where the real budget goes.

Not really, most commercial wheat crackers have hidden refined flour and can spike your blood sugar. Better to avoid them.

Stay cheerful and keep your mind peaceful, as stress also affects sugar levels. Regarding crackers, nature's own foods like roasted gram or cucumber slices are always better than anything from a factory box. Take care of your health with love.

My son has to monitor his sugar levels, and we realized most store-bought wheat crackers still cause his readings to spike. You have to read the back label carefully because they often add hidden sugar and palm oil. I prefer making baked ragi crackers at home for him.

Honestly, plain roasted makhana or a handful of peanuts is far safer for diabetes than these processed crackers. Even if the packet says wheat, they process it so much that it digests very quickly. Stick to simple, whole foods from your local market.
