Are walnuts good for diabetics?

My mother was recently diagnosed with diabetes and we are trying to find healthy snacks for her. I heard that walnuts are good for managing blood sugar. Can diabetics safely include walnuts in their diet?

I have been eating 3-4 walnuts every morning for my Type 2 diabetes, and my fasting sugars have stayed quite stable. It works well for me, but everyone's body is different.

Yes, they are generally considered very safe and healthy for diabetics. Just try to eat them in moderate quantities daily.

Look, walnuts won't magically cure diabetes, but they are a 100 times better than eating biscuits or rusk with your tea. Just eat 3-4 daily and keep checking your sugar levels regularly.

Haan na, they are very good for health. My wife also gives me soaked walnuts with my morning almonds. They don't have sugar and keep you full, ho na.

Don't blindly believe that eating walnuts will lower your HbA1c. You still need proper medication and exercise, so check with your doctor before modifying your diabetic diet plan.
