Honestly, because of my hormonal issues, my sleep is always a bit disturbed and I get crazy vivid dreams. For me, it usually means I didn't sleep deeply enough, rather than it being a sign of good rest.
I used to wake up sweating and panicked thinking these intense dreams meant my brain was damaged. But my doctor reassured me it just means we are spending more time in the REM stage. It is completely normal, so don't stress.
If these dreams are leaving you tired or exhausted during the day, it is better to get a proper checkup. Sometimes sleep apnea or other underlying things cause this, so please consult a specialist.
I had this for months. Usually, vivid dreams happen when your sleep is interrupted during the REM phase. Try cutting down on screen time 1 hour before bed and avoid heavy dinners, it worked wonders for me.
