Are there sinus cavities in the back of your head?

Since yesterday, I've been having this weird pressure at the back of my head, near my neck. My friend said it might be sinus but I always thought sinus only affects the front of the face. Is it possible for sinus cavities to be in the back of your head?

Actually yes, we do have sinuses that sit deeper inside towards the back, called the sphenoid sinuses. If they get blocked, you might feel a dull pressure or ache right at the back of your head. Steam inhalation and keeping hydrated usually helps clear things up, but keep an eye on it.

Ji bilkul, mere padosi ko bhi yahi headache tha piche ki taraf. Doctor ne bataya deep sinus infection hai. Humne toh unhe steam lene ko bola regular subah sham aur thoda sarson ka tel lagane ko. Do-teen din me kafi aaram mil gaya tha.

Honestly, I spent so many sleepless nights crying because of this weird pain in the back of my skull, thinking it was something much worse. When the doctor finally diagnosed it as deep sphenoid sinus inflammation, I felt such a huge wave of relief. You are not crazy, the pain there is very real and so draining.

Bro, yes, there is one right in the middle-back area. I had this crazy back-of-head pressure last winter and thought it was some neck muscle pull. Doc did a quick scan and said it's just sphenoid sinus blockage. Took some steam and took meds for a week, and it went away.

Wait, really? I always thought sinuses were just near the nose and forehead. No wonder my head feels so heavy at the back during cold season when I study late nights. Need to stop drinking cold water and start taking steam seriously.

I was actually reading up on this yesterday because my sister had a weird headache! Turns out the sphenoid sinus is deep inside the skull, which can cause pain radiating to the back or even the top of your head. It is quite fascinating how our body's plumbing works.

I totally get it, that heavy pressure at the back of your head can be so scary and frustrating to deal with. There are deep sinuses back there, and when they get clogged, it feels awful. Please take some rest and don't stress yourself too much tonight, okay?

Yes, they are located deep inside near the back of the nasal cavity. I had a similar scare and went to Kokilaben Hospital to get it checked properly. The ENT doctor explained it clearly on a diagram. Please consult a proper specialist instead of guessing; they can do an endoscopy or CT scan if needed.
